Cats are obligate carnivores with unique dietary needs that differ significantly from dogs. Foods that are safe for dogs may be harmful to cats, and vice versa. Remember that cats should get the vast majority of their nutrition from a complete and balanced commercial cat food. Treats and human food should make up no more than 10% of daily calories. When introducing any new food, start with a very small amount and watch for adverse reactions.
