Can Basset Hounds Eat Strawberries?
Strawberries are safe and healthy for dogs. They contain vitamin C, fiber, and antioxidants, plus a teeth-whitening enzyme. Serve fresh, washed, and with stems removed.
🐕 Basset Hound-Specific Guidance
For a Basset Hound (40–65 lbs), use the standard serving guidance, adjusting to your individual dog's weight and any breed-specific sensitivities.
Basset Hounds are prone to obesity. Factor any treats (including strawberries) into the daily calorie total — treats should not exceed 10% of daily calories.
Basset Hounds are at risk for bloat (GDV). Avoid feeding large amounts of any new food at once, and don't give treats right before or after exercise.

Serving Guidance
